Questions/Recommendations?

hey ron and bill ... i was wondering if there might be any interest here in putting a pod forum up. i think many of the recordists here use them and some of us ....ok me could use some advise on settings and how to download new patches and what not. i know that line6 has a community devoted to this but to be quite honest their not real ......welcoming or perticularly friendly there ....... just a thought thanks chris

There's already an effects forum, Chris-How about we use that for all effects pedals as well?

Often, when responding to a post, I'd like to use the person's first name, (instead of the user name), and of course can't find the list I've written out - for just that purpose.

What do you think about having a list available by a pull-down menu?

I know some names are in the 'personals', or maybe I should be thinking of the buddy-list - tho I'm not sure how to use that.

I imagine some may not wish their name used, and i understand that too.

Actually, my thinking is a little fuzzy on this. Can anyone explain what I'm thinking. Ha-ha! Sometimes I dont say what I mean and sometimes I dont mean what I say...and there are times when I don't know what I mean.

interestingly - this is the unit/group and building section they put the kids in at our intermediate school. My fifth grader is in the "blue pod" LOL

I'm all for that Robert...especially when replying to someone with a username like 7Q2Pgorpnada22. Where do you start?....."Well hello and welcome there 7Q2P...ummmmm....gor.....ummmmm, Mr. 22...ummmmm.

I can't imagine why a first name would need to be kept private...(The man's name is Al and he lives in New York...but people musn't know him except as 7Q2P......etc.....it's all very top secret ladies and gentlemen)..... Maybe an easy fix would be to address these as "dude"....some kids call everyone that.
