Smile Re: Lynn Morresey - Cellar Uncle 12/8/08

Hey Guys,

It is lovely reading all the messages - I stubbled across this site when I typed my brother's name into Google - I was thinking about him. You can purchase his prints via www.tart.co.nz it's based in New Plymouth, New Zealand. If I've copied that down wrong just type in tart under google. Our brother Vaughn Morresey owns the copyright and as far as I am aware he still prints copies of Lynn's work and sells them through Tart.

I've been a fan or both his music and his art for as long as he's been doing it - I have an orignal hanging in my hallway in London and it gets a lot of positive praise.

Thanks for brightening my day.

xx Cher Morresey

Cher,
thank you SO much for reaching out to us with this information! Lynn had MANY friends and fans here, as you can see by the posts. I am so glad that you provided the link to be able to purchase his artwork. I intend to make use of that link personally!

Please DO come and visit us often. StudioTrax is a community of friends, as well as musicians. We admire Art, Poetry, Photography and, well basically - ALL of the arts.

It gives me a good feeling to know that we can still have a contact with a family member of Lynn.

My very best wishes to you.

I did some looking and found another "treasure" I want to share Here
Thanks to Lynn's sister Cher, we have this too.
If Ya have not visited his paintings, check them out, I think they'll surprise you.

Thanks Tommy. That's a super cool video. Really freaky. I've favourited it. Even through the laptop speakers it really rocks. That was a gig to be at for sure!

WOW! Thanks Tommy! I had no idea that Lynn had ever produced this. Yeah, it's freaky, but it is art! I think that, sadly, with the passing of years, Lynn's work will be recognized for the creative genius that is is. Why does it always have to be that way. I wish he could have had great recognition that he could have lived to see.

Never knew or interacted with Lynn, that I recall. Sorry to hear of his suffering and death.

I can be a little shallow and narrow minded about "art" or "genius" I guess. Though his work looks like a master's......all I can think to say after looking at his paintings and the video is ..."disturbing".

Rod,
I do understand where your coming from... I too think a some of it is/was disturbing too.... I'm not sure, but I also think that a lot of his work, especially the painting/art was done when he was still under the influence of some heavy "stuff".... He and I shared a lot of stuff in the few years that I knew him... His testimony was a very strong and inspiring one. He had lots of opposition from many sides, yet, through his "Faith", He beat the odds, and many "demons".... I know he strived to touch lives in a positive way after his conversion.... and it was not well recieved at times...
He remained "faithful" and ready til the end. My last conversation with him was an inspiring one...with all the things wrong, he was still positive and ready... He had strength, beyond human understanding... I know from where it came....
Another thing I do know, is that He and I will talk again one day... Whoo Hoo!!
